| | Footskills begin Monday April 9
The free footskill training sessions will begin Monday April 9. The U6/U8 session will be 6:00pm - 6:45pm. The U10/U12/U14 session will be 6:45pm - 7:45pm. These sessions will continue each Monday night, weather permitting, throughout the season. All teams are encouraged to attend their appropriate session. This is a great opportunity to elevate each player's level of technical skill through fun and challenging activities.

| | Support your coachUS Youth Soccer has published an insightful article about a problem many youth sport organizations experience - how to stop coach shortages. Click here to read the article. It touches on the struggles a person might have in deciding whether or not to coach a youth sports team and what we can do to better help them. For a very large majority of organizations - BDSC included - they woudln't exist without the volunteer coaches. If you can, offer to help your coach. At the very least, thank them for what they do!

| | Anne Holmes receives IYSA President's Award
It is with tremendous pride that we annouce Anne Holmes, our beloved U12 Girls REC+ coach who passed away in January, was awarded the President's Award from Indiana Soccer, the governing body for soccer in the state of Indiana. Anne received this award for her selfless giving of time and effort to not only the players on her team, but to so many other organziations that she had volunteered with. Accepting in her honor were her husband, Paul, along with their daughters, Susie and Maddie.

| |  In Memoriam: Coach Anne Holmes
Anne Holmes passed away Wendsday January 19, 2012. Anne was a REC+ girls coach for 5 years, starting in U10 and progressing into U12. She was a true advocate of the sport and took genuine interest in each and every player she came into contact with. Anne was an active volunteer not only with our club, but also with Robey Elementary and the BD Swimming program. She will be deeply missed.
